Toronto, ON – July 03 2026 – Afro Canadian Development Inc. (ACD) is proud to celebrate the successful completion of its 2026 Applied STEM Beyond Barriers program, a transformative initiative that provided free, hands-on STEM education to children and youth from underserved communities across the Greater Toronto Area.
Delivered in collaboration with Envision Robotics, the program equipped participants with future-ready skills through interactive, project-based learning in today’s most in-demand technology fields. Throughout the program, students explored coding, robotics, 3D printing, virtual reality (VR), microcontrollers, digital design, engineering, and creative problem-solving, gaining practical experience while building confidence and curiosity.
The graduation ceremony marked an important milestone as students proudly received certificates recognizing their dedication, creativity, and outstanding achievements throughout the program. Families, instructors, volunteers, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the remarkable growth demonstrated by every participant.
Beyond technical learning, students developed essential life skills including teamwork, communication, leadership, resilience, and critical thinking. The program also created an inclusive environment where young learners could explore technology regardless of their financial or social background.

Parents also expressed their appreciation for the program, highlighting its positive impact on their children’s confidence, enthusiasm for learning, and interest in science and technology.
