Need Assessment & Referral
This is the first step of the settlement process. A formal assessment of the needs and requirements of newcomers, refugees and immigrants across a broad spectrum of settlement areas (e.g., education, housing, health and well-being, language and financial literacy, skills, employment, and community connections) and referral to appropriate settlement and community services.
Referral services connect newcomer clients to appropriate links and specific services and resources. They may be internal services provided by Afro Canadian Development Inc. or services offered by other organizations or in the community.
