At Afro Canadian Development Inc., we are committed to supporting newcomers, immigrants, refugees, and diverse community members as they transition and integrate into Canadian society. Our Settlement and Community Support Services program provides guidance, referrals, advocacy, and community-based assistance to individuals and families facing settlement and integration challenges.
Our goal is to help clients build confidence, access essential services, and become active members of their local communities.
Our Services
We provide culturally responsive and community-focused support services, including:
- Newcomer orientation and settlement guidance
- One-on-one settlement counselling and need assessment
- Settlement plan, community resource navigation and referrals
- Assistance accessing healthcare, housing, education, and employment services
- Support with government and community forms and applications
- Language and interpretation referrals
- Employment readiness and community integration support
- Workshops and informational sessions for newcomers and families
- Referrals to legal, mental health, youth, and family support services
- Advocacy and individualized client support
- Community outreach and engagement initiatives
Our team works closely with community organizations, service providers, employers, and local stakeholders to ensure clients receive the support and resources they need.
