North York, ON – December 17, 2024 – Afro-Canadian Development Inc. is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its Annual “Gift a Christmas” event, held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Dear Mama Banquet Hall in North York. This year’s event brought holiday cheer to children and families across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), making the season brighter for everyone involved.

The celebration was filled with festive spirit, as children received personalized Christmas gifts along with warm winter essentials such as socks, gloves, and hats. Branded Bites added a sweet touch by generously providing cookies for everyone, allowing families to indulge in festive treats while enjoying the holiday ambiance. The cookies brought warmth and joy to the occasion, creating special moments for all. The event also featured games and activities for kids, parents, and volunteers, with fantastic prizes that added excitement to the day. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and festive energy, making the event truly unforgettable.

Afro-Canadian Development Inc. extends its heartfelt thanks to its generous sponsors: J.D. Irving (Royale), Mandarin Restaurant – North York, Honda, Niagara Parks, Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Ripley’s Aquarium, Farm Boy, and Branded Bites. Their support was instrumental in making this event a success and in spreading joy to every attendee.

A special thank you goes to the dedicated volunteers, including those from TD Bank, for their hard work behind the scenes. We are also incredibly grateful to our vibrant emcee, Leticia, whose charm and enthusiasm kept the event lively and engaging for all.

“Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and the tireless efforts of our volunteers, we were able to make the holidays brighter for so many families in need. Seeing the joy on the children’s faces was the highlight of the day. This year’s ‘Gift a Christmas’ was a beautiful reminder of the power of giving and community,” said Emmanuel Animodi, Director of Afro-Canadian Development Inc.
