(ACD) proudly announces the continuation of its highly successful initiative offering complimentary STEM classes for children, scheduled from July through December 2024. This program is made possible by the generous contributions of the Telus Friendly Future Foundation, The Trottier Family Foundation, and TD Bank, underscoring our commitment to nurturing young innovators poised to shape the future.
Since January 2023, ACD has provided comprehensive STEM education to underserved communities, empowering young minds with essential technological and innovative skills. The impact has been profound, with students demonstrating enhanced learning outcomes and a renewed passion for learning.
STEM education equips children with critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills essential for thriving in this competitive job market. Through immersive Coding and Robotics classes, ACD aims to inspire the next generation of innovators and leaders, fostering a diverse and inclusive environment conducive to every child’s growth. In partnership with Ultimate Coders, renowned for their expertise in online and in-person coding and robotics courses for students from SK to Grade 12, we continue offering a dynamic, game-based curriculum that captivates and educates.
Key features of the extended STEM Program include:
- Weekly Coding & Robotics Sessions: Every Saturday from July to December 2024.
- Age-Appropriate Sessions: Tailored sessions for children aged 6-12 and 13-18.
- Comprehensive Curriculum: New courses such as Python, Dash & Dot, and CUE.
- Engaging Learning: Interactive and enjoyable game-based learning approach.
