Toronto, ON — December 29, 2023 — Afro-Canadian Development Inc. is delighted to announce the overwhelming success of its annual “Gift a Christmas” event, held on December 16, 2023, at 104 Fenmar Drive, North York, ON, M9L 1M5. This heartwarming celebration focused on fostering community spirit and inclusivity brought joy and festive cheer to underserved families during the holiday season.
The event, a cherished tradition in the community, was made possible through the generous support of sponsors, including Honda Canada, Niagara Parks, and Kits for a Cause, along with valued supporters such as 4imprint Canada, Impact Life Home Care, Purdys Chocolatier, Inside Lagos Kitchen, MLSE Foundation, Sleep Country Canada, AGO Toronto, and Gourmet Gift Baskets.
“Gift a Christmas” has been a beacon of joy for the community, distributing free Christmas gifts to children to ensure that every child experiences the magic and love of the holiday season. This year, the organization expanded its efforts by providing families with essential winter survival kits, embodying the spirit of selfless giving.
Santa Claus, the perennial favorite, added an extra layer of excitement to the event. Attendees were thrilled to take pictures with Santa and received chocolates and candies, spreading smiles and creating lasting memories. The event featured a raffle drawing, adding an element of suspense and excitement. Winners were announced on the event day with the help of a raffle generator. Sasin Chand Pradhan claimed the 1st prize, Omolasho Omorilewa Kafayat secured the 2nd prize, and Aditi Ghulu won the 3rd prize, adding a layer of joy to the festivities. Amidst the rain, attendees excitedly gathered at the hot chocolate station, enjoying the festive warmth of hot chocolate with marshmallows.
