North York, ON – October 6, 2026 – Afro Canadian Development Inc. successfully hosted the JOBREADY+ Career & Employment Fair 2026 on Thursday, October 1, 2026, bringing together job seekers, employers, employment service organizations, community partners, and career professionals for a day focused on employment, networking, career development, and opportunity. The highly anticipated event provided job seekers with a valuable opportunity to connect directly with hiring organizations, explore career pathways, receive employment support, and learn about programs and services designed to help them succeed in the Canadian labour market.
JOBREADY+ Career & Employment Fair 2026 brought together 11 employers and employment organizations from across the Greater Toronto Area, representing a wide range of sectors including healthcare, security, policing, social services, employment services, immigration, technology, administration, manufacturing, engineering, and community services.

Employers and organizations were recruiting and providing information on opportunities ranging from Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Personal Support Workers, Healthcare Workers, Security Guards, IT Staff, HR Coordinators, Talent Acquisition Specialists, Administrative Officers, Digital Marketing Officers, Immigration Case Analysts, Case Managers, Client Service Coordinators, General Labourers, CNC Programmers, Draftspersons, Continuous Improvement Engineers, Supervisors, Team Leads, Operations Dispatchers, and many other positions across multiple sectors.
JOBREADY+ was designed with a particular focus on supporting youth, newcomers, students and graduates, career changers, and job seekers from underserved communities. Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to meet employers face-to-face, ask questions about available positions, build professional connections, explore employment services, receive career guidance, and learn about training and skills-development opportunities. The event also created an important space for newcomers and individuals navigating the Canadian employment system to connect with organizations that understand the challenges of entering or re-entering the workforce.
