EmpowerPlay: Where Every Youth Belongs,
Moves, and Grows
EmpowerPlay 2026 is an upcoming community sports and wellness initiative designed by Afro Canadian Development Inc. to empower underserved and racialized youth through basketball, physical activity, and holistic wellness education.
Planned to launch in 2026, the program will provide free, inclusive basketball training, health and nutrition workshops, and leadership opportunities for youth aged 10–18 from low-income and newcomer communities across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
We’re currently building partnerships and seeking community and corporate support to bring this program to life. By supporting EmpowerPlay, you’re helping create safe spaces where youth can build confidence, leadership, and lifelong wellness—both on and off the court.
