North York, ON – August 28, 2025 – Afro Canadian Development Inc. celebrated another milestone year with its Fourth Back to School Aid 2025 event, delivering an unforgettable day of giving, community connection, and hope. With the generous support of community partners, individual donors, and volunteers, 332 children and youth from underserved communities received backpacks filled with essential school supplies to help them start the academic year with confidence.
This year’s celebration went beyond school supplies, featuring fun games, music, food, and activities, making it a day of excitement and joy for families.
“This event is about more than providing backpacks,” said Emmanuel Animodi, Director of Afro-Canadian Development Inc. “It’s about empowering children to dream big, build confidence, and know that their community believes in their potential. When we come together, we can change futures.”
