Christmas is a time of giving and sharing, and Afro-Canadian Development has successfully organized the heartwarming “Gift a Christmas” program to brighten the lives of less privileged children in the community. With the spirit of generosity at its core, this initiative aimed to ensure that every child in the community could experience the joy of receiving gifts on this special day.
“We want Christmas to be joyful for all the families in the community. Every child should be able to receive gifts on this special day.”, said Emmanuel Animodi, the Director of Afro-Canadian Development.
This program allowed individuals, corporate companies and our community members to come together to fulfill the wishes of underprivileged children in the community of GTA and bring smiles to their faces this Christmas season. Thanks to the overwhelming support and generosity of kind donors, Afro-Canadian Development was able to provide toy kits and winter essentials to nearly 70 children through the “Gift a Christmas” program. These gifts not only brought tangible joy but also conveyed a message of care, love, and solidarity to children who face economic challenges.
“I am grateful to God and at the same time, I would like to thank Afro Canadian Development and all the kind donors who have made it possible for my children to receive these amazing Christmas gifts. I really appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.” says Taiwo, one of the guardians who received gifts for her children.
The success of the “Gift a Christmas” program is a testament to the power of collective action and the generosity of the community. Afro-Canadian Development remains committed to uplifting and empowering the less privileged in the community and will continue to create initiatives that make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Additionally, we would like to extend special gratitude to CIBC and Canadian Tire for their generous support and contributions, which played a crucial role in making the ‘Gift a Christmas’ event a resounding success.
